Vertical Clouds / Bit of the Internet

The solo exhibition of Maribor-based artist Toni Soprano Meneglejte presents her online projects in a new light. In the framework of the exhibition, the artist will present her online drawings as a spatial installation in the GT22 Lobby, highlighting a digital space that is both infinite and non-existent. How can we move from the digital immaterial sphere into the material space of the gallery, and where can these two spaces intertwine? The artist is particularly interested in the hybrid space, which is the result of the connection between the real world and the digital space. Therefore, in the GT22 Lobby, which can also be assumed as a space in between, the artist presents her practice in the form of a hybrid object that simultaneously looks into the digital and the material. The core of the exhibition will thus be an ever-changing image, which is reassembled again and again into a new image, thus further emphasising the infinity of digital space. It consists of online drawings and a spatial structure that also includes a text by curator Irena Borić. The interactive exhibition is simultaneously on display in two different spaces - in the GT22 Lobby and on the artist Toni Soprano Meneglejte's website. The two different locations are connected by a spatial installation based on a dialogue between the artist and the curator, which allows for a transition from the material to the digital sphere.
