205A Morning lane a.k.a. Wake up Whitney

A self-initiated, site-specific video installation, 205A Morning Lane uses a building as a projection screen to explore possibilities of temporary urban video interventions, architecture, and art through the use of moving image in public space. 2007 originally marked the end of 205A Morning Lane studio building as a consequence of urban regeneration, with two sets of visuals projected onto the building’s windows. Simultaneously arguing that public space is not-for-profit space, not by accident but by design and for continued support for artists in the area, Larisa delves into the last days of an important artists studio building in East London, their relationship with the space and the impact of its loss on their practice.
