In a Dormant State

In a Dormant State is a site-specific project which creates a speculative mirror image of the Slavija underpass using photogrammetry and organic tissue growth simulation. Through a series of iterations, the growth algorithm segments the input 3D mesh of the underpass (obtained using the photogrammetry process) and evolves it under the influence of an arbitrary vector field of forces. The intensity of growth in individual areas and the segmentation of the newly created elements depends on variations in the colour, contrast and texture of the walls in the underpass. Here space, colour and form are merely the consequences of a series of data that can be processed, converted and reconfigured.
