Živa Brglez

Živa Brglez

Živa Brglez (Ljubljana, 1991) is a producer, writer and curator. She works as a producer for Kapelica Gallery/Kersnikova Institute, Ljubljana, specializing in contemporary investigative art. She graduated in Philosophy and Art History and holds a Master’s degree in Art History from the University of Ljubljana, which awarded her the Prešeren award for her final thesis. Currently, she is a PhD student at the same institution. She writes about contemporary art and culture for various media (Radio Student, CLOT Magazine, MG+MSUM publications, Photography, Outsider) and conducts pedagogical and andragogical activities at the Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova and Kapelica Gallery, Ljubljana. Since 2020, she has been preparing analysis of intermedia art in Slovenia within the ŠUM collective and in collaboration with Igor Zabel Association for Culture and Theory. In 2019, she became the caretaker and researcher of the archive of the International Festival of Computer Arts. She has been involved, as curator or as producer, in exhibitions in several institutions (Kapelica Gallery, Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova, Ljubljana, El Hanager, Cairo, IFCA, Maribor…).
