Saša Spačal researches live systems in the intersection of modern and audio art. Her work is focused on the intertwinement of a continuum among environment and culture through planetary metabolisms. By developing technological interfaces and relationships with organic and mineral actors, she deals with post-human state that includes mechanical, digital, and organic logic inside the biopolitics and necropolitcs of a modern world. Her works were presented in numerous international venues, such as Ars Electronica Festival (AT), National Art Museum of China (CHN), Laboratoria Art & Science Foundation / New Tretyakov Gallery (RUS), Centre for Contemporary Art Barcelona (SP), and Onassis Cultural Center Athens (GR). She received received awards and nominations at Prix Ars Electronica (AT), Starts Prize (AT), Japan Media Art Award (JP), Prix Cube (FR), New Technology Art Award (BE) and New Aesthetica Prize (GB).
