George Papamattheakis
George Papamattheakis is an Athens-based architect and geographer, working in the cross-section between research and design. He is mainly interested in the infrastructural space where the built environment is encoded and manifested, but also has a fascination with planetary scale systems and networks, both of which are key forces in contemporary geopower. He studied architecture and urbanism at NTU Athens and ETH Zürich, geography at HU Athens, and graduated from The New Normal research program at the Strelka Institute’s in 2019. His writings were published by Footprint, Log, Clog, Cartha, and Strelka Mag.
