Temporal Secessionism – Timezone #1

Timezone #1 is one of the three pieces of alternative infrastructure that make up Temporal Secessionism. Modeled after public information terminals, these objects present alternate time counting systems based on a selection of socio-technological processes, including informational consensus systems, numerological computation and state machine replication algorithms, aiming to catalyze different experiences of time in their local areas. A text by Amy Ireland is fragmented and re-arranged according to the passage of time in the three zones providing a generative framework of textual references. Stickers were contributed by Johannes Wilke.
