The digital prayer booth VoxDei 2.6 explores the “dead internet” theory as a satirical reflection of contemporary digital culture. The internet, once imagined as a space of open communication, now appears as an environment dominated by algorithms, bots and generated content, in which the human voice is gradually losing its weight. The installation does not treat this “death” of the internet as a final collapse, but rather as its fusion with everyday life and as a system we no longer use from the outside, but experience as part of our own identity. Framed as a digital religion, technology emerges as a new spiritual authority. The ritual begins with a parody of sacrificing privacy and guides the visitor toward a “divine” algorithmic response, a randomly generated phrase that combines irony, critique and absurdity. Through this satirical ritual, the installation raises questions about the internet as a new form of spirituality: a structure founded on algorithms, propaganda and promises of redemption devoid of substance.
