Are you interested in visual expression and would like to try it in a new way? Do you want to draw with program code? Would you like to try live coding?
Join us for a two-day workshop with mentor Blaž Pavlica and learn how to create dynamic visual images or animations, become familiar with computer graphics and learn the basic concepts of programming and programming languages. You will learn what the variables, conditional statements, strings and functions are, as well as how to use them to draw, design, animate and colour shapes on screen.
The aim of the workshop is to show that anyone can start to learn programming, so the workshop is also suitable for participants without any prior programming experience.
The workshops are intended for high school and university students and the elderly and are free of charge. No prior knowledge or additional tools are required to participate.
Blaž Pavlica is a computer programmer, an audio-visual artist, a sound engineer and a DJ who currently lives and works in Utrecht.
The workshop is part of the On-the-fly project, which is co-financed by the European Union's Creative Europe programme. Supported by the Ministry of Public Administration and the Municipality of Ljubljana – Department of Culture.
