Zoran Srdić Janežič
Zoran Srdić Janežič (SI, 1974) is a sculptor and intermedia artist who also works as a puppet designer and is the studio manager at the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre. His work involves the utilization of new materials and technologies, such as animatronics and moving mechanisms combined with biological materials, 3D virtual design, virtual reality installations with AR codes, as well as sculptural creations that fuse various materials and technologies. In the creation of artistic projects, he collaborates with experts in the fields of programming, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, nanotechnology, and more. He has held over 20 solo exhibitions and has participated in numerous group exhibitions, both in Slovenia and internationally (Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, Bozar in Brussels, Centquatre in Paris).

The project is dedicated to soft tissue engineering and developing a robot with functioning biological muscle which moves the body. On the frontiers of art that uses live materials to create new forms, these new creatures raise ontological and ethical questions about their status, new protocols of handling and question our attitude towards them.
