Lavoslava Benčič (SI) is an intermedia artist, curator and educator. She completed her studies in Media Project Management at Middlesex University in London, a postgraduate degree in Graphic Design at London College UCK, and an MA in Media Arts and Practices at the Academy of Arts, University of Nova Gorica. She is a lecturer in multimedia production at the Institute and Academy of Multimedia in Ljubljana. She collaborates with the ČIPke initiative, Layer's House in Kranj (BIEN DIY Lab), and others. Since 2014, she has been creating and leading new media workshops for adults and children in Slovenia, Denmark, Croatia, Italy, and Serbia. Most of her intermedia projects and workshops are based on electronic textiles, video, graphic sound, sound reaction to stimuli, and AI generative soundscapes, as well as on interaction with plants. She is a member of professional associations (Europeana, ADA Artist, ZDSLU, DLUL, HUIU). Her work has been exhibited/shown 98 times in twenty-two countries and awarded 14 times.
